Arctic Hayes Gas Leak Detector (AH61) The Arctic Hayes Gas Leak Detector quickly identifies the presence of combustible gases — natural gas, methane, propane, butane and ammonia — in appliances, valves, pipes and fittings. As the sensor interacts with gas, the unit responds immediately, illuminating LEDs on the front of the detector and sounding an audible alarm, helping to pinpoint the source of a leak. It detects gas concentrations between 50ppm and 1000ppm, with a warm-up time of around 30 seconds and a reaction time of about 2 seconds once switched on in clean air. Auto power off helps preserve battery life between uses, and the unit runs for approximately 3 hours per set of batteries.
